Temperatures in these regions will reach 38°C on Monday, with a high of 39°C in the Gard region.
On Wednesday, Météo France forecasts a national average peak of 35°C, with high temperatures continuing across several regions. Monday’s gloomy skies with showers in the Ardennes would have been welcomed by those concerned the heat would spread to Belgium.
